A Moment of Magic is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to improve the quality of life of vulnerable and underserved children and inspire them to be brave, strong, and fearless through fun and engaging social wellness activities. A Moment of Magic makes a tremendous impact on the kids we provide services to, as we often are not just making their day better, but their overall quality of life.

If you want to provide hands-on service to children with medical vulnerabilities (especially in character), joining A Moment of Magic is the BEST option for several reasons!

We're established! We have been around since 2015 and because of this we have several benefits such as our nonprofit status, long-lasting relationships with over 250 nonprofits and hospitals across the country, press coverage by more than 300+ international media outlets, fully developed training materials and resources, direct connections to professionals, high costume quality standards and partners who bring the prices down for us, and a community of over 500+ volunteers. There's nothing like A Moment of Magic!

The mission of this organization is to provide a space for JMU students to learn more about mechanical/related engineering and immerse themselves in career opportunities in the field. This will be done through the holding of monthly meetings, hosting relevant speakers, running social and community outreach programs, and likely competing in local and national ASME competitions.

Membership Benefits
The most notable benefit of being a registered member is the ability to vote for club executives in the event of an election. This is mandated by the broader international ASME organization. However, registered and unregistered members of this chapter will be provided with all information regarding meetings, events, and competitions that the chapter plans to host or attend. All members are encouraged to go to as many meetings as possible where consumable items are distributed. In the case of competitions, the JMU ASME chapter will sponsor teams who plan to attend competitions. However, the broader ASME organization will only allow registered members to participate on a competition team.

ASA student chapters provide opportunities for students to connect with other students interested in statistics and interact with prominent statisticians locally and at national meetings. They also encourage students to continue studying statistics and provide career information in the statistical sciences. There are no scholastic requirements, and students need not be statistics majors. All students are welcome and encouraged to get involved.

Our mission is to allow fans of Japanese animation to gather and enjoy anime, discuss said anime, and play video games with their compatriots. The Anime Club is a haven for those with similar interests of the above activities and is a place where everyone is welcome and wanted, regardless of their views or likes.

A Brief History of the Project
Dr. Bill Ritchie, CSX Professor of Management at James Madison University, and Dr. Mark Smith, Executive Director of Mihret Medical Supply Group, met in the summer of 2019 to identify ways in which JMU Supply Chain Students might engage in global logistics as well as help support the mission of Mihret. The most pressing issue at the time was the Ebola crisis in the Democratic Republic of Congo and other surrounding countries.

Ritchie and Smith identified the most critical needs for Mihret as sourcing, storing, and shipping the medical equipment and supplies.

Thanks to the help of various donors and contributors, the initial launch of the project was able to deliver a 40ÔÇ▓ container to the Democratic Republic of Congo in Febrary, 2020. Since that time, this project has helped Mihret ship four additional 40ÔÇ▓ high cube containers to Africa.

1. Engage with students, faculty, and professionals to develop supply chain plans and operations of medical supplies for transfer overseas.
2. Work on campus in supply rooms (Burruss Hall) in order to procure medical equipment and supplies that are utilized in the supply chain.
3. Learn about global supply chain issues and developments in order to make educated decisions that aid the club
