A Moment of Magic is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to improve the quality of life of medically vulnerable and underserved children and inspire them to be brave, strong, and fearless through fun and engaging social wellness activities.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that allows college students to provide creative programming to pediatric hospitals, social service institutions, and directly to families. Our most popular service is our character visits, featuring princesses and superheroes! A Moment of Magic makes a tremendous impact on the kids we provide services too, as we often are not just making their day better, but their overall quality of life. As our friends at the Magic Yarn Project say, princesses truly are "symbols of strength, courage, and true determination for young children everywhere".

If you want to provide hands-on service to children with medical vulnerabilities (especially in character), joining A Moment of Magic is the BEST option for several reasons!

We're established! We have been around since 2015 and because of this we have several benefits such as our nonprofit status, long-lasting relationships with over 250 nonprofits and hospitals across the country, press coverage by more than 300+ international media outlets, fully developed training materials and resources, direct connections to professionals, high costume quality standards and partners who bring the prices down for us, and a community of over 500+ volunteers. There's nothing like A Moment of Magic!

The brothers of Alpha Chi Sigma strive for academic excellence in the field of chemistry while being a brotherhood. We are involved in service in relation to science. We do chemistry demonstrations for the Harrisonburg community. The requirements to rush (during the fall semesters) are, must have a GPA of 2.5 or above and have six chemistry courses including labs. An example is, someone who has taken general chemistry one and two with the labs and that is now in organic chemistry with the lab.
