Women's Soccer vs. Virginia

Pack the Park: Color Run/Walk is a 2 mile, untimed event taking place during JMU's Weeks of Welcome where you will get doused from head to toe in different colored powder throughout the race and finish the race painted in color! There will also be post-race activities, lawn games, pickleball, volleyball and MORE! You must register through UREC Register by August 29 at 11:00am to secure a spot in the race (450 spots available). The first 400 registrants receive a UREC t-shirt and a color packet for the race kick-off. Once we hit capacity, we still encourage you to attend the event to cheer others on or take part in other activities being offered throughout the day!

Learn how to swing dance in 60 minutes or less! This beginner-friendly dance lesson will guide you through some cool moves and let you socialize with fellow JMU students. After the lesson, stick around for a second hour of practice and mingling. No dance experience or partner required; all are welcome!

Whether you want to improve your golf game or just play for fun, head out to the Heritage Oaks Golf Course for the JMU Golf Day to try to hit a hole in one! Students will have the opportunity to take a shuttle from the Godwin bus stop (bus route). Last bus leaves Heritage Oaks leaves at 5pm. Mindfulness is the practice of being present and aware in the moment. It can help reduce stress and anxiety, improve mood, and promote overall well-being. Join the Counseling Center in the Edith J. Carrier Arboretum to practice ways that you can cultivate mindfulness!

Meet us at the Frances Plecker Education and Welcome Center to pick up your instructions and then enjoy your mindful walk through the arboretum at your own pace. While the event will occur for three hours, the walk can be taken at your own pace so it can take as little as a half an hour or as much as the full three hours--whatever serves you best!

Come hang out with the transfer advising team and a few current transfer students at our Student Org Night tailgate! Grab some free pizza and soft drinks before heading over to learn about the 400+ clubs and organizations available to students at JMU.
