Details

Join us for a tour of the Harrisonburg Farmers' Market (HFM) and then a cooking demonstration at the Explore More Discovery Museum on the first day of the HFM's Summer Season, April 1st! During the tour of HFM, the Market Manager will take participants around to each vendor, provide some background on each, and how they support the local community and environment. Following the tour, we will take a short walk to the Explore More Discovery Museum, where we will enjoy a cooking demonstration featuring local produce. Participants will get the chance to see the Harrisonburg Farmers' Market from a broader lens beyond the JMU campus' farmers market.

****We are planning on walking as a group to the Farmer's Market. Meet in front of Wilson Hall at 11:30am Saturday, April 1st.

Food Provided (Lunch is provided by us through the cooking demonstration using locally sourced produce. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions that we should be aware of. The meal will be vegetarian. )
