A Moment of Magic makes a tremendous impact on the kids we provide services to, as we often are not just making their day better, but their overall quality of life.

If you want to provide hands-on service to children with medical vulnerabilities (especially in character), joining A Moment of Magic is the BEST option for several reasons!

We're established! We have been around since 2015 and because of this we have several benefits such as our nonprofit status, long-lasting relationships with over 250 nonprofits and hospitals across the country, press coverage by more than 300+ international media outlets, fully developed training materials and resources, direct connections to professionals, high costume quality standards and partners who bring the prices down for us, and a community of over 500+ volunteers. There's nothing like A Moment of Magic!

The brothers of Alpha Chi Sigma strive for academic excellence in the field of chemistry while being a brotherhood. We are involved in service in relation to science. We do chemistry demonstrations for the Harrisonburg community. The requirements to rush (during the fall semesters) are, must have a GPA of 2.5 or above.

The purpose of this organization is to inform aspiring civil engineers regarding civil and environmental engineering topics that can be applicable in real world practices, while developing a support network with students interested in civil and environmental engineering. The club will expose members to real-life challenges of engineering, and allow students to develop contacts with the local, regional, and national civil and environmental engineering community.

Being a member of the ASCE student chapter at JMU will allow students to professionally network and learn more about the topics of civil and environmental engineering. We offer several different events throughout the year such as study hours, professional guest speakers, design challenges, and other social events. The mission of this organization is to provide a space for JMU students to learn more about mechanical/related engineering and immerse themselves in career opportunities in the field. This will be done through the holding of monthly meetings, hosting relevant speakers, running social and community outreach programs, and likely competing in local and national ASME competitions.

The most notable benefit of being a registered member is the ability to vote for club executives in the event of an election. This is mandated by the broader international ASME organization. However, registered and unregistered members of this chapter will be provided with all information regarding meetings, events, and competitions that the chapter plans to host or attend. All members are encouraged to go to as many meetings as possible where consumable items are distributed. For competitions, the JMU ASME chapter will sponsor teams who plan to attend competitions. However, the broader ASME organization will only allow registered members to participate on a competition team.
