The objective of NSBE at JMU is to increase the number of culturally responsible minority students who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community. This objective shall be accomplished through:

Pre-College student outreach and recruitment
Academic counseling and support

Undergraduate research
Community outreach and service projects
