Profile

Parent Organization: University Health Center

Campus Assault Response is a student run organization addressing the issue of sexual assault prevention on campus.  CARE volunteers serve as an active support for survivors by guiding them through the process of pressing charges and accompanying them to court through the use of our 24 hour 7 days a week helpline (which is run by students). Outside of support services, CARE gives presentations to other organizations on campus about sexual assault and encourages both men and women to use CARE as a resource.

The organization has general body members as well as trained members.  The general body members are encouraged to attend the weekly meetings and volunteer for programs and events that CARE is planning (such as presentations, speakers, commons days, etc).  The trained members are the members of CARE that run the 24/7 helpline.  These members go through 30-40 hours of training (amounting to two full weekends).  It is not required for CARE members to be trained.  We welcome all students to attend our meetings and get involved.
